St. Patrick's Church offers many opportunities for teen engagement. These include (but not limited to) Youth Ministry, Teen Breakfast, One Bread One Cup Leadership Conference, Mission Trips, and Missionary Service.
YOU: Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body
In an age of “selfies” and egocentrism, YOU cuts through the noise to present an authentic view of the human person. It presents young people with the extraordinary story of their creation as unrepeatable individuals. But the program doesn’t stop there. YOU. Life, Love, and the Theology of the Body introduces teens to the truth that life is not, in fact, all about them; it is about going out of themselves to be a sincere gift for others. This 10-week session took place on February 27, 2023 at 6 pm. Watch for 2024 dates!
Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry is for middle school students in grades 6-8. Meeting once a month, these sessions focus on developing the young Church through fellowship and fun in a spiritual setting. Edge does not replace Christian Formation but rather enhances it by fostering our young teen community.
Youth Ministry is also for high school students in grades 9-12. This young Church gathers Sunday evenings at 6 pm. Incorporating faith, fellowship, & fun, this is an actively growing community for teens.
Confirmation preparation fosters encounters with our creator, God, and facilitates the love relationship with our savior, Jesus while understanding faith through the Catholic Church. Meeting two times per month, candidates attend each session with an adult partner.
Service Sundays
Once a month, teens and adults gather to serve our community. This can be local service to the Parish or surrounding neighborhood areas. Adults are encouraged to participate.
If interested in participating, please email Brett Daggs or call at 585-924-2800.
Young People Who Care (YPWC)
July 30-August 4, 2023
YPWC is a summer service retreat in Frenchville, Pennsylvania. High school students are encouraged to participate as are Confirmation candidates. At this service retreat, participants go into one of the poorest counties in Pennsylvania to serve as the Hands and Feet of Jesus. In 2022, participants cleaned a rural church with elderly members, painted an older woman's porch, and helped a family clean up their fallen house. In addition, participants cooked for each and spent time in prayer and reflection. If interested in participating, please email Brett Daggs or call at 585-924-2800.
